The CAO Italia obtains its name from the Italian grown filler tobacco found in each cigar. Prior to this Italian tobacco was mainly used in machine made cigars because the soil and climate only allowed a limited number of premium leaves. This cigar is grown in the southern Benevento region of Italy between Naples and Rome. Its in a Honduran Habano seed wrapper and binder that encloses a blend of Peruvian and Nicaraguan fillers for a complex and robust smoke. The Italia has some sweetness with notes of wood, leather, and earth tones.
