CAO La Traviata Divino

by GoodFellasCigars

Wrapper: Ecuadorian

Filler: Dominican Republic and Nicaraguan

Binder: Cameroon

Country: Nicaragua

Factory: C.A.O. Fabrica de Tabacos S.A.

In late 2009 the CAO La Traviata Divino was released without much publicity put around it but it still ended up achieving 15 out of the top 25 cigars of 2010. This full-bodied cigar is a bargain that has a dark, oily Ecuadorian Habano wrapper that encloses a Cameroon binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. The draw of this cigar was easy and had flavors of pepper, leather, and nuts with hints of cedar and anise.  Theses flavors remain all the way throughout the cigar and become more rich the farther you get. This smoke is great for anyone that enjoys consistent flavor throughout their cigar.

La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Magnifico

by GoodFellasCigars

Wrapper: Mexican

Filler: Nicaraguan

Binder: Nicaraguan

Country: Nicaragua

Factory: My Father Cigars Inc.

The La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Magnifico got a 6 out of 25 of the top cigars of 2010. This cigar took around 2 years to make and used a fairly new Cuban-seed Mexican wrapper. This wrapper has very few veins and is well packed with a Nicaraguan filler and binder that makes a excellent medium-bodied smoke. The draw was perfect and the first thing noticed was the lite spice with notes of mocha and raisin. Halfway through the cigar the spice began to die out and the flavor of coffee came on stronger and a small hint of anise came out. The burn remained even throughout and near the finish there were notes of dark chocolate and earth tones with more flavor of anise. This cigar will please the palate and the wallet too.

CAO Gold Vintage

by GoodFellasCigars

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut Seed

Filler: Nicaraguan

Binder: Honduras (Jamastran), Nicaragua (Esteli)

Country: Nicaragua

Factory:

The CAO Gold Vintage is a very smooth mild-medium bodied smoke that can be enjoyed from the most experienced smokers to novice smokers. The silky, vein free wrapper was created from some of the best Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed leaves of 2004. To accompany this wrapper in perfect balance is Habano seed filler tobaccos from Honduras and Nicaragua.  This cigar is very easy to draw with a creamy, buttery smoke that has flavors of leather, hazelnut, cream, and vanilla. The burn is alright with a few touch ups needed along the way. The vanilla and caramel  flavor remains all the way and about midway through a lite, nutty spice comes on making you want more until the caramel finish. The flavorful, sweet cigar will please any smoker’s palate.

Gurkha G3

by GoodFellasCigars

Wrapper: Nicaraguan

Filler: Nicaraguan Ligero

Binder: Cameroon

Country: Dominican Republic

Factory:

The Gurkha G3 has a robust, rich taste with hints of sweetness. The G3 is one of the strongest that Gurkha has to offer.  It offers a very nice draw that produces thick white smoke and there is a nice even burn that stays lit thoughout the smoke. A Cameroon binder is also present, which creates a unique taste that is not found in most full bodied cigars. The cigar is a nice change of pace from a normal maduro cigar. The cigar is supposed to be a full bodied cigar, however  to most it comes off as a low-end full bodied and a high medium bodied cigar. It has a nice blend of spices that gives off a coffee taste. The taste is described as very sweet, giving off the impression that it is an after dinner smoke because they are such a treat its like having dessert. The price of this cigar makes this an excellent choice for any cigar smoker.
