La Gloria Cubana Serie N is a sister brand to the celebrated La Gloria Cubana Serie R. La Gloria Cubana Serie N is the creation of General Cigar Dominicana’s production manager of manufacturing Yuri Guillen in coordination with Michael Giannini and Rick Rodriguez, jointly known as Team La Gloria Cubana.
La Gloria Cubana Serie N is a full-bodied cigar comprised of Ecuadorian Sumatra, Capa Oscura, wrapper and a Nicaraguan filler and binder. This cigar is like a sister to the La Gloria Cubana Serie R and was created by Yuri Guillen with help from Rick Rodriguez and Michael Giannini. The Serie N has a dark oily wrapper with a N printed midway down the side and thick obvious veins. The initial draw was smooth and created plumes of smoke with flavors of nuts and a caramelization that was similiar to maple syrup. The first third had a sweet nut flavor with a little bit of spice coming in that was very smooth. The sweetness was like a mocha/cocoa type and the spice was a very mild pepper that was hardly overwhelming. The nice thing about this stick is you are able to set it down for a while without it going out. The ash was loose and dark grey almost black and as for the burn it was jagged until the midway point it evened out. The second third was still sweet with the nutty flavor leaning towards a almond or walnut flavor with tones of a wheat mixed in. As for the finish, the spice and nut flavor becomes most prominent but, the sweetness still remains there in the back. Overall the La Gloria Cubana Serie N didn’t disappoint. It had consistent flavor all the way through and never got harsh. Highly recommend if one is able to get their hands on this!
