The first thing I have to say about this cigar is it is incredibly subtle and balanced. The nutty and earthy flavors are wonderfully held together by a hint of caramelized sugar. The draw is easy and produces a nice amount of smoke. The San Cristobal Selección Del Sol is medium bodied. It is constructed well, being slightly spongy or springy and is lightly veined. The cigar had a fairly even burn that didn’t require any touchups which created a flaky light gray ash. The first third of the San Cristobal Selección Del Sol stayed constant and was very enjoyable. The second third became slightly strong and the last third was stronger yet which had a definitely more emphasized nutty caramelized flavor. It is recommend to stop smoking at the band to fully enjoy this cigar. After removing the band it became a little harsh. Over all the San Cristobal Selección Del Sol was a very enjoyable smoke that will be lit up again soon.
