Punch Rare Corojo

by GoodFellasCigars

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Sumatra

Binder: Connecticut Broadleaf

Filler: Honduran, Nicaraguan, Dominica Piloto Cubano

Country: Honduras

Made by: General Cigar Company

Love a cigar that stays consistent and well balanced all the way the through? Well, look no further than the Punch Rare Corojo. The look of the Punch had a dark reddish wrapper that had a little bit of give to it. This cigar has a prominent pure rich tobacco flavor with bitter wood tones and notes of spice. The construction is excellent but gives a respectable medium draw and a very white ash. The level of body was a light-medium that very so gradually stabilized into a medium level of body. As it is already stated the flavors of the Punch Rare Corojo hardly wavered throughout the entire smoke of this cigar. The only exception to the steady flow of wood tones, notes of spice, and a very lovely prominent copious tobacco flavor was the sudden harshness 2 inches from the end of the cigar. So, stop before that 2 inches you wouldn’t want to sour the experience of a flavorful highly balanced and consistent cigar. Over all the Punch Rare Corojo was a very enjoyable smoke that will need to be appreciated further soon.

The Viaje Plantino Cabinet Perfecto No.2 is right off the bat a cigar you will want again immediately. This cigar has a prominent smooth rich flavor consisting of roasted barley, roasted wheat and, oak with hints of spice and sweetness. The flavor profile is blended as such to remind the cigar connoisseur of a  quality beer.  If the Viaje Plantino Cabinet Perfecto No.2 came in beer form it would be a hit. The level of body is straight medium. The construction is fairly excellent except for that an uneven draw at can sneak up from a hollow spot that can be present in these cigars.  The Plantino Cabinet Perfecto No.2 had a distinctive dark gray ash. The draw simply effortless; producing a good amount of smoke. The level of body and flavor stayed consistent for two thirds of the cigar. When one third is left the flavor more spice and barely are present. Below the band the Viaje Plantino Cabinet Perfecto No.2 turns harsh and is recommend to stop smoking there. For this cigar a v-cut is a must as it works so well with the pointed end. Over all this was a wonderful cigar for its excellent flavor and its wonderful draw.
